W-class trams were introduced to Melbourne almost 100 years ago, in 1923.

The unmistakable green and gold cars, that you will hear from a mile away scream Melbourne-Town, and are one of my oldest memories from when I first moved here from Europe. These days you can only take a ride on the character filled trams along the free city-circle route.

Over the last couple of years both Sydney and The Gold Coast have rolled out tram lines, but neither city can boast this historical ride.

You will notice, I kept the colour of the tram, while removing it from the rest of the image. This technique is called “Colorsplash”.
