Goodbye 2021!

It’s safe to say that 2021 has been challenging for most. I’m not one to wish away time, but I’m glad to see the back of 2021, and I’m looking forward to 2022. This statement reminds me of the joke “tell God about your plans, and he’ll have a good laugh” 😉

I am writing this month’s newsletter from the coastal town of Devonport, Tasmania. Devonport is where the Spirit of Tasmania docks, so it is usually the first town you see when coming over from the mainland on the ferry. It’s been 2 years since my last trip to the Apple Isle, and I’ve been looking forward to getting out and taking some images from a different location.

I have shared images from the Bluff Lighthouse or the Mersey River before, but on this occasion I wanted to share something a little different.

A few minutes drive from the centre of town there are a lot of farms. I have lost count of how many times I observed the rows of vegetables or simply cultivated land admiring the natural lines and patterns. Over the last few days I have spent time flying my drone over the fields taking images from different heights and angles. Here are some of the results.

I hope you had a great Christmas and celebrated the New Year with friends or Family. I look forward to another 12 months of sharing my images with you.
