After a frustrating year, I finally got back out on the road at the end of 2020. Our ability to travel to far away lands has ceased for the time being, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find new locations closer to home.
One such location was Portland, Victoria. The 5 hour drive from home took me through various towns along the way. I have covered most of this state, but there are still a few places I haven’t explored properly. Warrnambool and the “Magic Rock” is one of those places, as was Portland. Once in Portland, I decided to check out the Cape Nelson Lighthouse. Still operational, guarding the southwest coast like a sentinel perched up on the cliff. I stayed in town, but you can actually stay overnight in some huts at the base of the lighthouse. I went out in the evening to get some shots during sunset, and then the following morning to take some more photos during sunrise.
The image above was taken at sunrise.
I hope you have a great start to the year.
Make sure you keep an eye out next month for my Wallpaper from Kangaroo Island. 🦘
